Scripture:
My dear brothers and sisters, always be willing to listen and slow to speak. James 1:19
Devotional:
For most kids, talking is a lot more fun than listening. But it’s easier to learn things with your eyes and ears than with your mouth. If you want to grow up healthy and smart, you should learn to listen carefully to the adults around you who have important lessons to teach. When your parents, grandparents, or teachers are telling you something, do your best to pay attention. The more you listen to what they have to say, the more you’ll learn.
Family Questions:
1. What can you do to listen to your parents more?
2. How can you listen to God more?
Prayer:
Dear God, sometimes it’s really hard to stop and listen. Please help me open my ears and pay attention. Amen.
